Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) offerings

mediation

We offer both formal and informal mediation services as part of our Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) offerings.

Mediation is an attractive option for resolving conflicts, often before court filings, litigation, or trial become necessary.

Here are some key benefits of choosing mediation:

Confidentiality: Mediation is a private process, ensuring that sensitive issues remain confidential.
Empowerment: All parties have a clear voice in working towards a mutually satisfactory outcome.
Reduced Stress: Mediation typically involves lower stress and conflict compared to litigation.
Attorney-Free Resolution: Parties have the opportunity to resolve disputes without involving attorneys.

Cost-Effective: Mediation is usually a low-cost option, with total expenses often being a fraction of attorney and legal fees.

Formal Mediation In formal mediation, if a mediation is successful—resulting in a full agreement, partial agreement, or temporary agreement—the results are sent to a judge for approval. Once the judge signs the resolution, the agreements become legally binding. If a party does not uphold the agreement, they could be considered in breach of contract and subject to legal penalties.

Informal Mediation Informal mediation employs the same techniques as formal mediation but does not involve the courts. This type of mediation is often used for issues such as co-parenting, housing conflicts (e.g., eviction), financial disputes, and other disagreements.

Whether you choose formal or informal mediation, our services aim to provide a constructive and cost-effective path to conflict resolution.
